Performance Practice
Re-inspiring my pedagogy and performance.
As this solo piano piece develops, I’m really challenging myself to think of the performance. The way it has developed is more akin to a “piano for three hands” piece with accompaniment being voiced by both the left and right hands with a melody in the right. Honestly, it’s fun. It’s a mental, physical, and musical dance across the keys. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve lost my consistent practice, but this piece has re-inspired some pedagogy and performance that I love. I hope your musicianship will be inspired like mine has been.
