A Study in Strings

I spent a lot of time earlier in the week crafting the string parts this week. Tedious amounts of tinkering, automation, re-tracking, and more.

Through it all though, I’m reminded of how much I really love composing for strings. It’s a malleable timbre that can speak haunting, ominous, and dark moments that send chills up your spine, or it can bring forth romantic, joyful, and hopeful moments that send the same chills up your spine.

Music is magic. I love it!

For the sake of focus on the composition phase, these scorecards will become a little less text heavy and little more audio heavy.
